ASTHO State and Territorial Links
Provides links to state and territorial health agencies on the Web. This is a service of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO).

Every Child Matters Education Fund
Provides data on children's issues in all 50 states, lists federal and state elected and appointed officials, and provides information on assistance programs in each state.

FASTATS A to Z
Includes health facts on individual states and links to each state's health data. Also links to statistical fact sheets about the health status of the population and important subgroups and the health care delivery system. FASTATS is compiled by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS).

Individual States' Child Care Licensure Regulations
Provides access to the child care regulations in each state. This resource is provided by the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care (NRCHSCC).

Insure Kids Now
Presents information on each state's child health insurance program and links to program and implementation resources on children's health insurance. Spanish-language resources are provided. This national campaign is sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration.

National Network of Libraries of Medicine State Information (NN/LM)
Several regions of this network offer state-specific information such as heath indicators, other statistics, health services, and health organizations, for each state within the region. They include the Midcontinental Region, the South Central Region, and the Southeastern Atlantic Region.

NICHCY State Resources
Compiles contact lists of organizations and agencies that address disability-related issues within each state. The lists are provided by the National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY).

State Health Department Search
Offers a search tool for accessing information posted on the Web sites of state health departments. This search engine is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Title V Information System, State MCH Applications and Contact Information
This section of the Title V Information System (TVIS) provides narratives and data forms from each state's applications for funding under the Title V program and searchable listings of state maternal and child health (MCH) and children with special health care needs (CSHCN) diretors and state hotline phone numbers. TVIS is supported by the U.S. Maternal and Child Health Bureau.

Urban Institute State Database
Information on income security, health, child well-being, demographics, fiscal and political conditions, and social services for each state and the District of Columbia. Many maternal and child health variables are included. Developed by the Assessing the New Federalism Project at the Urban Institute (UI).

This list is not intended to be comprehensive; rather, it offers a sample of quality sites that are useful starting points for those interested in MCH topics.
